The pre-Commencement festivities included the CSU Alumni Association's Graduation Party on May 12 at Mather Mansion.
At the sixth annual Radiance benefit for student scholarships, held Friday, May 13, in the Glasscock Family Foundation Ballroom, Radiance Scholar Drewcilla Roberts shared her story and CSU Executive-in-Residence Steven Minter was awarded the President's Medal. On Saturday, May 14, morning and afternoon ceremonies were held at the Wolstein Center for graduates of the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the Monte Ahuja College of Business, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Honors College, the Washkewicz College of Engineering, the College of Education and Human Services and the School of Nursing.
At the morning ceremony, the Commencement speaker was CSU alumnus Andrew Puzder (B.A. History, 1975), CEO of CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc., the parent company of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee's restaurant chains.
CSU's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law held its Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 15, at the Wolstein Center.
Dr. Mary Robinson, the first female president of Ireland and former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, received an honorary degree and delivered the Commencement address.
