Many Vikings couldn't wait for Commencement to show off their caps and gowns.
Even Magnus got into academic regalia for our Grad Party at Mather Mansion.
When Commencement rolled out around, most of our 2,100+ graduates flocked to the Wolstein Center to celebrate.
One grad, who definitely wasn't going to miss Commencement, was Clinton Ransey. A member of the 1986 men's basketball team, Clinton returned to CSU 30 years later to finish his degree.
Clinton received a special shoutout from President Ronald M. Berkman as well as ovations from the crowd.
Another touching moment of the ceremonies: Zachary Pichler and his mother Cynthia Pichler received their degrees and walked across the stage together. How about that for an early Mother's Day gift!
President Berkman, who is retiring May 31, presided over his final CSU Commencement and addressed the graduates, their families and friends.
During President Berkman's tenure, more than 33,000 graduates received their diplomas from Cleveland State. President Berkman was there to shake hands with every single one of them.
Once again this year, our graduates got creative with their cap designs.
With their diplomas in hand, our students took outside to celebrate with friends, family and the rest of the city.
